This rare proof is priced higher contrasted to the other works listed. The technique used to create all of his work: The technique Robert uses for all of his work is known as stippling, which is the composition of a work one dot at a time. In Robert’s pen and ink application, there is absolutely no margin for error. The slightest slip of the hand or overflow of ink will ruin an entire work, as no corrections are possible. Due to the length of time and great accuracy required to complete a work using this method, Robert must be completely and emotionally committed to each piece that he renders. The writing always comes first. The time spent composing a poem is often as long as the time taken to complete one of the drawings. Every word must precisely convey the intensity of the feeling that Robert desires to communicate. Once the poem or prose is completed, he begins the drawing with only a thin pencil outline to establish the balance and proportions of the work. Robert will often work from several black and white photographs of the image he wishes to capture. Finally, using the cherished quill pen given to him by his grandfather, Robert begins the delicate and exhaustive process of applying the ink, one dot at a time. About the artist: Robert lives in a small town north of San Francisco for eight months each year; the rest of his time is spent at his home outside Paris. He writes every day, and typically spends four hours drawing, which he does only by natural daylight. He continues to cherish his relationships with his family and friends and to believe in the importance of that place in the heart we all call “home.” Working with only a quill pen and India ink, I create each of my drawings one dot at a time. With this demanding technique, each work takes between two and five weeks to complete. Both the prose and the poetry that accompany the drawings are also my creations. They are written with the same painstaking intensity and precision my drawings require, for it is my desire to describe, as exactly as possible, that which is both true and beautiful within the world we share. Cosmetically I would rate the camera a 9/10. There are no significant marks although there is some slight paint-wear on the edges of two rubberized buttons (as pictured) which is a common issue with all 907X models. The buttons work properly, they dont feel weird, they are hardly noticeable, but I wanted to mention that here. Screen is super clean and without blemishes. Sensor is in beautiful condition, and I just had it professionally cleaned ($50) at the Leica Store. The 907X Control Grip is actually very useful! I used it all the time in cities for discreet shooting -- all controls on the grip. Then I would take it off when shooting at family events or wherever. Totally different -- so fun to shoot this cube camera, one-handed. Youll love it! Comes with the original boxes, accessories, and battery. That is without the $700 Control Grip. Buyer pays PayPal fees. Seller pays shipping.

Limited Edition print is pencil numbered 580/630, of an architectural elevation and sections of Cincinnati Union Passenger Train Terminal Improvements in 1931 framed behind glass. New York architects Alfred Fellheimer and Steward Wagner were chosen to design the new station and they in turn hired Paul Cret from Philadelphia to assist their designer, Roland Wank, to work out the proposed design. The initial proposal had called for a classical structure, which was very costly and by that time, fairly out of style. Cret and Wank were tasked to bring the design into the modern style, what we now call Art Deco. 29”W x 28”H. The limited edition print series was produced by the Miami Purchase Preservation Fund to benefit residents of the West End in Cincinnati Oh.
