This 18 wooden dory was constructed from plans by Jeff Spira, Spira International with the professional assistant from The Motor Boat Garage, Norwood, Ohio. The MBG specializes in restoration for Chris Craft, Century, Hacker and Lyman boats of all ages and ultra fine mahogany work. The hull is fiberglassed with two layer of 10 oz. cloth and painted with two coats of Fighting Lady Yellow epoxy paint. The mahogany deck and helm, constructed by MBG, has 10 coats of varnish to bring a fine durable finish. The entire interior of the boat was sealed with two coats of clear epoxy while the white cedar floors received three coats. The 40 hp 4 cycle Mercury was purchased new, 2021, was purchased and installed by Stokleys Marine of Lexington. The trailer has been repainted, rewired and setup specifically for this boat. New bearings & wheels, radial tires, bunks etc. make this setup to be a 100% new boat setup. The engine has less than 15 hours, serviced and winterized by Sea Ray of Cincinnati and includes a stainless prop plus the factory aluminum prop. There is a 12 gallon fuel cell under the front helm seat and 72 qt Helm swingback seat by Moeller. All custom upholstery by Awads of Bethel Ohio. Helm includes Garmin 7 GPS/Fishfinder, Ritchie permanent mount compass, 5 switch electric panel with USB and 12 v connects, Mercury Binnacle single lever mount engine controls. Ropes, fenders, anchor, life preservers. This is a lot more than a turn key package. I have shown the boat in several wooden shows in Huron, Ohio, Bellaire, MI and Georgetown, SC. It is definitely a head turner and received many compliments for style, finish and quality of work. Why am I offering this for sale?
