Seeking Wallpaper for Artisan Greeting Cards

Hello, I am a local artist and artisan who creates bespoke wedding invitations and luxury greeting cards from repurposed wallpaper. Wood veneer wallpaper is especially needed! My small business, Luxe Printers Dot Com, is new and growing. I am in constant need of raw materials and supplies including stationery, file folders, office supplies, paper cutters, plexiglass, mat boards, razors, razor blades, X-Acto knives, Cricut machines and accessories, scissors, cards, envelopes, dry mounting film, scrapbooking supplies and papers, and full panel fabric samples. I am willing to purchase Kodak Type 2 dry mounting film at any time. I am looking for free or low cost wallpaper. I typically pay about $10 OBO per roll regardless of size. I am seeking remnants from past projects, partial or full rolls, trimmings even as small as 8.5x11 inches, and 16x20 sheets of paper are also perfect. I am also interested in vintage wallpaper from estates and sales. New wallpaper is great as well. I am ALWAYS seeking donations from design firms of discontinued wallpaper memos and sample books. I cannot accept wallpaper containing grasscloth or fabric. A simple test is to rip a corner both ways; if you see fabric fibers, it will not work for my process. Grasscloth is prickly when folded and stabs your fingers. My storage is limited, so sometimes I cannot take everything, but please let me take a look first if you think it might not work. I especially adore geometric, textured, and patterned designs. All styles are welcome such as feminine, masculine, androgynous, floral, nature, etc. Let’s keep wallpaper out of landfills, as it is generally not recyclable. Your donation supports local art and small businesses and reduces waste. I am happy to pick up on Tuesday afternoons. If you need a different day, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate your request. I realize sudden and sporadic need for immediate pickup happens sometimes. I can also accept donation drop-offs at any time in Englewood. As a thank you for your donation, I will make you a custom sample. Possible sources for wallpaper include antique stores, design firms, thrift stores, estate and garage sales, trade shows, flea markets, art markets, farmers markets, job sites, construction sites, basements, garages, and last season’s design floor pulls. The donated wallpaper is then cut to size. The inside is cropped and graphics and text are printed on file folders. The sheets are ironed together with dry mounting film, folded, ironed again a couple times, then cooled and pressed. Finally, they are trimmed and paired with matching handmade envelopes before being addressed and mailed or hand delivered.
